The demand for caregivers has never been greater. The role of the Resident Care Attendant is to assist people, especially older adults, who require basic nursing care. The personal care provided is both essential to those in need and rewarding to you.
The Resident Care Attendant program will help you develop the personal and occupational qualities needed to care for people living at home and in long-term care facilities. You will learn to identify and respond to the physical and emotional needs of your clients. Your instructors will provide practical, hands-on training in physical and mental activation, observing and communicating with the client, and proper handling of specialized equipment. After successfully completing the program, you will be qualified to work in long term care facilities, home health care agencies, retirement homes/residences, hospices and group homes. |
