Simply put, the web has changed everything which is why CTU has introduced the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Concentration in Web Development (BSIT) degree program. One of our new breed of IT degrees, the BSIT helps students reach into the middle of the ever-expanding technology universe and grab onto one underlying factor driving its explosive growth: web development.
In response to the tremendous opportunities that continue to be created out of the technology revolution, CTU has engineered multidisciplinary coursework that will let you:
- Develop a usable website that meets customer requirements
- Define and explain current computer networks, protocols, and the role of network management software
- Define and explain the fundamentals of computer system security requirements
- Implement the goals and techniques of software engineering through the development of a complex application
- Solve complex problems through the ability to program in at least one high level programming language
Coursework for this program includes:
- 66 hours of general education requirements
- Problem solving and core technology classes such as introductions to database systems, web site construction, networks, and e-business
- Web development concentrations such as user interface design, scripting for the web and web animation
