Business skills - music industry knowledge - concepts of audio production
There are three legs to the music business. and each is covered in the 2-year Associate in Music Business degree program at Globe University:
- Sales and marketing for the music business: business communications, accounting and other basic business skills, the keys to building profitable careers and strong companies for talented artists and other industry players
- Music industry skills and knowledge: entertainment networking, self-promotion, artist management, live performance production, copyrights and publishing, and radio, television and Internet as media
- Audio production: lab experience on ProTools (every student has a DAW workstation) and MIDI, covering the language of audio production and how to use that knowledge to protect and promote artists and recording studios
