Associate of Arts in Nursing

The Associate of Arts Degree in Nursing Program is designed to prepare individuals to become competent safe nurses who deliver care in a holistic framework that focuses on the promotion of health and wellness and the prevention of illness. Being a performance based educational program, graduates attain the necessary competencies and critical thinking to be placed in appropriate and desired employment settings.

They function in the roles of caregiver, client advocate, facilitator of learning, and mentor and foster and promote the advancement of the discipline of nursing. Graduates who successful complete the program will be eligible to apply to take the licensure examination for which they are educationally prepared.
