Diploma - Medical Assistant

Graduates of this program will be prepared with professional competencies to work in various medical settings such as clinics, hospitals, hospice, home care, or a physician's office. Students will choose either the Clinical (Back Office) or the Administrative (Front Office) specialization. The graduate will enter the job market with skills in medical terminology, clinical procedures, medical technology, CPR and First Aid, medical office skills, customer service, insurance and billing, and ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 coding.

(Graduates in the clinical specialization who wish to pay the association fees are eligible to take the AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification exam upon completion of the AMT employment requirements. The program has been developed to follow the standards of the Association of Medical Technologists Roles of Delineation.)
