The Jack Welch Master of Management (JWMMG) program provides an in-depth study of management principles fully integrated with the Welch business insights and practices. It prepares graduates to evaluate and apply management skills to meet diverse needs and challenges in an increasingly competitive global market. Its focus is not merely on managing numbers, but on the human side of management: how to effectively relate to and lead people by becoming an organizational change agent. Students learn to achieve process simplification, effectively allocate organizational resources, define and manage conflicts and articulate ethical considerations in a socially responsible manner.
Each student will have the opportunity to focus on an approved Capstone Project. These projects are designed to encourage students to research, synthesize and apply management and leadership concepts and theories to develop useful solutions to strategic problems and concrete challenges in real-world business scenarios.
The Jack Welch Master of Management curriculum also develops the entrepreneurial and communication skills necessary to manage successful and socially responsible enterprises as well as to effectively inspire individuals at all levels of the organization. In addition to the more traditional graduate business courses, the JWMMG program offers courses in leadership, organizational development, business process management, business knowledge management, project management and human resource management.
