Electrical Technology/Engineering

In Lincoln's Electrical Technology new training labs, you will get real-world hands-on training. Your career-focused courses will include learning to wire residential, commercial, and industrial structures. You will learn how switches, panels, relays, and transformers are used to distribute and control electricity to various circuits as part of an electrical service system. The Motors and Maintenance course will teach the principles and maintenance of single phase and three phase motors. You also learn to analyze the level of electrical service and over-current protection required for various types of structures or applications. You will also learn the correct methods for splicing or terminating medium voltage cables as well as other special electrical applications. Upon completion of classroom and practical training, graduates from this program will possess the skills and knowledge that can be applied to continuing State mandated on-the-job training and ultimately qualify for the Journeyman's Electrician's license exam and to qualify for career placement assistance.
