Medical Administrative Assistant

NAU's Medical Administrative Assistant degree program is designed to prepare students for entry-level administrative positions in a variety of health care settings. Administrative duties may include greeting patients, setting appointment times, scheduling hospital admissions, medical transcription, medical record management, insurance coding and billing, bill collections, office compliance and other general medical office procedures.

The veterinary technology program is accredited by the Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities (CVTEA).

The medical assisting program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), on recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation for Medical Assistant Education.

The athletic training education program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), on recommendation of the Joint Review Committee on Education Programs in Athletic Training (JRC-AT).

The paralegal studies program offered at the Rapid City campus is approved by the American Bar Association.
