The Practical Nursing program is designed to prepare the graduate for an entry-level position in a variety of work settings. The program emphasizes the development of clinical skills to train students for the position of a licensed practical nurse. Students learn not only in the classroom, but also in a laboratory which simulates the facilities, equipment, and records found in both the clinical and administrative areas of ambulatory care centers. Upon completion of this program, they will be able to care for the sick, injured, convalescent, and disabled under the direction of physicians and registered nurses. Pioneer Pacific College offers NCLEX-PN preparation as part of the curriculum.
