The Early Childhood Education Program prepares students for work with infants, toddlers and pre-school age children in a variety of settings and programs that require a full understanding of how children grow learn and develop and who are capable of contributing positively to those processes. The program addresses both the theoretical foundation in principles of human growth and development as well as programs and curriculum appropriate for younger children. Students are required to participate in field experiences that help prepare them for positions as staff member of child care centers, museums, pre-schools and nursery schools. |
