The Health Information Technology Program will prepare students to work in a variety of health care settings managing health care information databases and systems. Due to confidentiality and privacy issues, students will become aware of ethical, regulatory, quality and legal issues related to the management and exchange of medical information; the importance of accuracy and safety of patient information and care; and, the importance of clear, direct and effective communications as they collaborate with professionals in the medical, legal, financial and insurance fields. |
