Computer Graphic Design

The Computer Graphic Design Diploma Program provides the practical training and technical skills that will allow creative people to begin careers in this exciting and profitable field. Students learn about design and layout, typography, color theory, presentation, prepress and marketing principles. They also become technically proficient with the entire Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Adobe Acrobat) and learn QuarkXpress. Additionally, students will develop basic web design skills using HTML and Dreamweaver. By the end of the program, students will have built a portfolio that showcases their abilities to translate creative visions into eye-catching print and web-based layouts and designs.

Students will gain a better understanding of themselves through an exploration of their personal attributes, transferable skills and learning styles. This course will introduce techniques for time, conflict, and stress management and develop interpersonal communication skills. Fundamental study and motivation skills will be covered, preparing students to excel in their program of choice. Students will also prepare a professional resume and learn how to write effective cover letters.
