The Master of Health Services Administration (MHSA) program is designed to meet the needs of healthcare professionals and others who wish to obtain the knowledge and skills needed to assume mid-level and executive level managerial positions in health services organizations.
Health Services Administration degrees prepare students by training them to manage and direct the business aspects of healthcare. Specific careers, as identified by the Accrediting Commission on Education for Health Services Administration (ACEHSA), include working as hospital administrators, healthcare managers, managed healthcare plan coordinators, and administrators in short and long-term residential facilities.
Undergraduate prerequisites may be required for entry into the graduate program; students who have not earned degrees from appropriate fields of study may be required to take additional coursework as a prerequisite for completing the program. |
