The program is designed to prepare students to be highly-qualified professionals, whose skills are in demand in salons and spas world wide. Students receive in-depth education, and hands-on training in all technical aspects of professional aesthetics, with a strong focus on delivering great customer service, and an emphasis on developing and maintaining a professional image and code of ethics.
Prerequisites:
- Grade 12 or equivalent OR Mature student status (19 years plus)
- Personal interview to determine suitability for the program
- Police check- Clearance of Criminal Record
- Medical immunization certificate
- Passing score on the entrance exam
Graduation Requirements
To graduate and receive a diploma, a student must obtain an overall average of 70% with no grade less than 60% in any subject.
In addition, students must complete 35 hours of the Co-op Program.
In addition to receiving professional training and education, students will also learn:
- To conduct an effective job search
- Resume writing techniques
- Job interview preparation
The faculty will assist in all these areas and students will have access to computers, Internet and other job search resources.
