Vatterott College’s Accounting programs can prepare you to become an Accountant for sole proprietorships, partnerships, and corporations.
Both programs will familiarize you with the Microsoft Office Suite and its application to the field of accounting. You can also develop proficiency with QuickBooks, Quicken, and Peachtree software. By learning these software programs, you will be able to use computerized accounting to work with accounts receivable, accounts payable, financial statements, and more.
Vatterott College will also teach you about federal income tax. You will learn how to complete federal income tax returns, as well as meet payroll tax requirements at the federal and state levels. The Accounting Technology program builds off this foundation and offers you executive-level skills.
You will take classes that help you understand how financial decisions are related to other business areas, including marketing, customer relations, and e-commerce. You will look at managerial areas, such as inventory and people management. You will also explore the role management information systems play in productivity and accounting.
