You can also acquire advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office. You will be shown other medical office software that can be used for scheduling and accounting purposes.
The program can teach you how to transcribe medical reports and perform patient care procedures. You can assist the doctor by taking vital signs, helping with physical exams, and more. You will also learn how to perform EKG's, place Holter monitors, and educate patients. A large portion of the program consists of practical labs. This can help you gain practical skills that can be directly applied to your career in medical assisting. |
